Happy Birthday Sketch-N-Scrap! It’s time to PARTY!! This month we have been celebrating with loads of challenges and prizes over at the Sketch-N-Scrap Challenge Blog and at all the Design Team member’s blogs. There is still plenty of time to get in on all the action and fun, because now it is my turn to host a challenge.
My challenge is a Word Challenge, where you use things on your project that begin with the letters of the word. So, like I said “Let’s Party”, cuz the challenge word is P-A-R-T-Y.
Here is my layout:
P = photo corners; A = alphabet stickers; R = ribbon; T = tissue paper; Y = yellow elements
You don’t have to use the same items as me, just as long as the items you choose start with the letter.
Now, how about some details:
The imperfectly-perfect title, written by my son, on the MME sticky note.
Lyrics from the 1980’s song Electric Avenue, by Eddy Grant. So fitting for this wild rockin’ t-shirt.
I wanted this background paper by Scenic Route to look like the notebook papers my son pulls out of his backpack, so I first applied a Jenni Bowlin Studio ink pad in Weather Vane in certain areas and then sanded.
All the supplies I used to created this layout were from the JBS Mercantile March 2014 Kits with the addition of tissue paper, ribbon, and photo corners. This fair ribbon I created includes a vintage milk cap as a base and a JBS Chalkboard Flatback as the center piece. If you would like a few instructions on how to make a fair ribbon click here.
And speaking of Jenni Bowlin Studio, this challenge is sponsored by JBS Mercantile!! One random winner, chosen by random.org, will win a $20 gift certificate to spend at JBS Mercantile. Thank you JBS!!!
