Hey everyone! I’m playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog again this week. The challenge is Stamping All-Stars, where you feature your favorite go to stamp or ink pad. Here is my entry…
I love the Claudine Hellmuth Studio “Words and Frames” stamp sets; they are so useful and versatile. My all time favorite stamp from these sets if from set 2, this cloud-shaped thought bubble. I use it on cards, layouts, and repeat it for background patterns. Hmm…is it a cloud,…is it a thought bubble,… or is it both?? I think it is both here layered on top of a photocopy transfer from one of my enlarged Paris photographs.
I have my favorite inks, but lately I’ve been grabbing for Claudine’s paints to do my stamping. With these thought bubbles, I really loaded up the stamp with classic teal and pushed down hard while stamping to get a thick painterly line.
I chose this JBS Mercantile paper with the swirly pattern, in which to do my transfer on, because I thought it evoked weather that would work with the cloud-shaped thought bubbles. Also, if you notice I stamped the bubbles capturing words that might describe someone on the other side of this window.
I am calling this a French Word tag. Hmm again….I think another series is brewing. I decided to create a French Word Series as an offshoot from my Paris Series. I put a category in my sidebar so you can find all my projects in this series. Besides being inspiration for my creations, it is a fun way to learn a little French. I even go online to a site that I can hear how to pronounce each word. I never said I wasn’t a bit kooky!
