On July 14th, France celebrates Bastille Day.

Bastille Day honors the memory of the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789. This event helped ignite the French Revolution. This national celebration includes fireworks displays and parades.
Just for fun here is a link to Cost Plus World Market. They are celebrating Bastille Day with a lot of imported goodies from France. My son and I picked up some Madeleines (petite French cakes), Sable’ au Beurre Frais au sel de gue’rande ( butter shortbread with gue’rande sea salt), Eiffel bon bons (chewy candy), and some French triple milled Poire Pomme (Pear Apple) soap.
And now for the winner of the spot in Claudine Hellmuth’s Technique Toolbox class, which begins tomorrow, July 15th. I went to random.org and the number that was generated was 17. Congrats to Kim Stohl!!
